Hiking Tumbler Ridge (Day Hikes)

We love to hike and play in Tumbler Ridge, our second home! We will be hiking a variety of locations in Tumbler over the summer and would love to have you join us. Hikes happen most Friday’s and Saturday’s in July and August.
REFUND POLICY: we try not to cancel because of weather. We will go hiking in light rain and windy conditions. If we have to cancel because of EXTREME weather we will offer a refund. Extreme weather includes winds over 60km/hr, severe thunderstorms and rain over 30mm. You may transfer your hiking pass to another person but I do not provide refunds as I have limited space available for trips.

We rate our hikes:
Easy: low km’s and elevation, trips less then 4 hours. 1-5km in length. Requires a basic fitness level. Suitable for ages 8+ Cost $25
Moderate: hikes over 5km and up to 10km. Elevation involved, up to 500m. Requires an intermediate level of fitness. suitable for ages 16+ Cost $30
Advanced: must be able to hike over 10km at a 3.5-4km/hr pace. Requires advanced level of endurance training and fitness. Significant elevation gain. Adults only. Tail guide and lead guide provided. $40
Hiking Schedule:
Saturday July 9th: Kilts on Mount Kostiuk – a beautiful peak looking over Hidden Valley, Roman and Babcock Mountain. Unique rock formations, mountain views, subalpine and alpine terrain. A favourite of our clients in summer 2021! 10km, 600m elevation, 6 hour trip. Kilts encouraged. Rated moderate.
Friday July 22nd: A Pirates Trip to the Shipyard & Titanic. Hike the famous rock formations of the area and then bask in the falls of Babcock. For the adventurous, take a dip in the icy cold waters under the falls! Eye patches, gold hoops and moustaches encouraged. Bring a change of clothes if you want to try an alpine dip! Rated easy.
Saturday July 23rd Wonderful Windfall Lake – an absolute must do in the Tumbler area with views of Mount Crum, Pinnacle Peak and Brown Peak. Lunch at the Lake, options for swimming with a change of clothing. Rated moderate.
Sunday July 24th Wet & Wild Waterfall Tour:
Four waterfalls in one day: Flatbed Falls, Nesbitt Knees, Barbour Falls, & Foehn Falls. Each falls has a short hike in to view the falls. Rated easy with a few tricky sections.
Sunday August 14th Holzworth Meadows, and Therapod Peak. Meadows of wild flowers, ridgeline walks and mountain peaks, this trip has it all! This less travelled route has so many options for exploring! Up to 8km and 650m of elevation depending on route taken. Rated advanced.
Friday Aug 19th Spectacular Speiker – a great first summit, this trip is only 6km with 330m of elevation but gets you up high enough to see 3 valleys in the surrounding area. Views of the Sukunka Valley, Cowmoose Mountain, and more. Rated moderate.
